Riley Martel

Riley loves sharing his passion for the art of dance . Dance to Riley isn't just steps, it's a way to express myself, who you are, your emotions, and the hard work that you put in to many years of training. Mr. Riley has been dancing since the age of 4. He started dancing to help him develop communication skills with other children because he was always very shy. Riley started off his Dance Jourany at "Dance For Life" in Cobourg Ontario. From there I went to "Cobourg Dance Alliance". The next stop was "Premiere Dance Cobourg & Theatre Arts Academy" and my final destination was "Twinkletoes Studio Of Dance" where I graduated from and shared my last year with the same group of dancers that he began dancing with when I was 4.

Competition season was always Mr Riley’s favourite time of the year. He will never forget the memories he shared with all of the dance friends who became family over the years. Working in the studio with your peers is an amazing experience. It is a surreal feeling to know that you have a team standing behind you who are there to support you, and encourage you when you need it most. Mr Riley is currently practicing, teaching and training full time at Arthur Murray Richmond hill where I’m developing my love for Ballroom and Latin dance. I graduated from Centennial Dance Program, and right away went and began a contract dancing for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.  Mr Riley has also danced on/ for the Family channels “The Next Step”, “ Blake McGrath”, as well as danced on music videos as well. Centennial Dance program has allowed him to stay up to date with current styles as well as the generation that is quickly approaching underneath our feet. Riley has train in all styles of dance and have all my life. Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Ballet - where he has completed my RAD Intermediate exam, Tap, Flamingo, and a few other cultural styles that he has completed exams in during my post-secondary studies. Riley have been assisting classes since the age of 13, spending lots of hours at the studio!

When Riley was 16, he received his certification to be an assistant teacher which then gave me the opportunity to teach my own classes. Mr Riley have completed my RAD Intermediate exam, and as well as Acrobatique Arts. He is currently training for his BATD exam certifications as well as a 3 year ADAPT teaching program. “Your children are my children when we are in the studio and the bond and relationship that is formed helps in many ways when it comes to their growth as people and as dancers.”  Mr Riley continue to take classes around the GTA, work full time teaching Ballroom and Latin while still competing with his students around the world.

Mr Riley looking forward to getting to spend time with your children as well as give them the challenge that they need to meet their goals, while making friend and a having great time! “Dancers remember to keep stretching and I can't wait to see you all soon!”
